Apply for new Residential Service

You may start, transfer or disconnect electric service visiting the Russellville EPB office at 165 E. 4th Street. You may start electric service online. Before submitting your request online, or by visiting the EPB office, make sure to gather the required items listed below.

 

To submit your request online, click on the “Start Request, One Applicant” or “Start Request, Two Applicants” button below. All information submitted online is encrypted and will be viewed only by EPB personnel (and your co-applicant if applicable). A customer service representative will call you as soon as possible to collect payment and complete your request.

Service connections are only made during our normal working hours (7:30am – 4:00pm) Monday – Friday. For further information, contact us at (270) 726-2466.

 

To start or transfer service:

To submit your request online, you will need photos of items 1 & 2 below to attach to your application. A customer service representative will call you to finalize your request and take your payment. If visiting the EPB office, bring these items with you as well as your payment for the connection fee and deposit: 

 

1.    A current photo ID

2.    Proof that you live at the address you are requesting service for (ex. deed, sales contract, lease or rental agreement)

3.    A $15 connection fee for all new locations.  A $25 transfer fee, on top of existing account balances if moving locations.

4.    $250 deposit ($100 required if signing up for Smart Pay Prepay service)

 

Deposits:

A residential security deposit ($250 or $50 for SmartPay) will be required when service is established with the EPB. Customers transferring an existing service to a new address may require an additional deposit based the amount of the initial deposit.

If service is disconnected for non-payment,  an additional deposit, based on 2x your highest monthly bill, may be required to reconnect service.

 

Fees

The EPB may establish and collect standard charges to cover the reasonable average cost, including administration, of connection, reconnection, or disconnection of service. These fees are listed in the list provided below.

 

  • Establish new service: $15

  • Transfer service:  $25

  • Reconnect fee: $35

  • SmartPay Reconnect fee: $25

  • Non-Pay Disconnect fee: $35

  • Returned check charge: $25

  • Meter tampering: $125 + meter cost + estimated stolen current (person stealing current may be prosecuted to fullest extent of the law by REPB)
